You will need:

• natural or synthetic silk fabric 1.4 m wide in the amount of 0.85 cm:
• a strip of thin doublerin 0.7 cm wide for gluing the entrance to the pocket – 0.5 m;
• elastic band for the belt – 0.8 m (cut to the desired size);
• thread No. 120 or No. 150 – 1 coil;
• brand label.

Shorts sewing technology:

1. Processing of pockets. Duplicate the pocket along the entrance line from the wrong side with a 0.6 cm wide doubler tape. Fold the pocket and the front half of the shorts right sides together, sew a seam along the entrance to the pocket at a distance of 0.7 cm from the edge. Fold, secure with a stitch on the front 0.5 - 0.7 cm. Fold the pocket along the fold line and finish the lower section of the lining with a French (linen) seam. Iron, secure the pocket along the upper section with an auxiliary stitch.
2.  Step and medium cuts sew with a French (linen) seam.
3.  Sew the side seams together and overcast.
4. Processing of the upper section with a belt. Stitch the belt cut into a circle. Cut the elastic to the desired length (for size 38 – 69 cm, for size 40 – 73 cm and for size 42 – 77 cm), but first check whether this length of elastic band suits you. Stitch it together, overlapping one end by 1.5 cm. Sew the belt to the shorts so that all seam allowances are in the middle of the belt (see my master class).
5. Hem and iron the bottom of the shorts by 1 cm and 3.5 cm. Adjust the length if necessary.
6. Sew on the brand label.
7. Make the final WTO.
