You will need: 

• fabric with a width of 1.4, natural or synthetic silk, viscose and tencel are also suitable, in the amount: for size 38 - 0.65 m, for size 40 - 0.7 m and for size 42 - 0.75 m;
• a strip of thin dublerin for gluing the entrance to the pocket;
• an elastic band for a belt 5 cm wide and 80 cm long (cut to the required size, see below in the description);
• threads in the color of the fabric No. 120 or No. 150 if the silk is natural and ordinary No. 100 for other fabrics.

If desired, the length of the shorts can be increased, but then the amount of fabric is required to be greater.

Description of the production of shorts

1. Processing of pockets. Double the lining along the line of the pocket entrance from the wrong side with doubler tape 0.6 cm wide. Fold the front sides of the pocket and the front half of the shorts, sew a seam along the entrance to the pocket at a distance of 0.7 cm from the edge. Bend it, fasten it with a stitch on the vestan 0.5-0.7 cm. Bend the pocket along the fold line and process the lower section of the lining with a French (linen) seam. Iron, secure the pocket along the upper cut with an auxiliary stitch.
2.  Step and medium cuts sew with a French (linen) seam.
3. Sweep the side and bottom sections. Connect the side seams with a stitch to the notch of the location of the incision.
4. Processing of the upper section with a belt. The detail of the belt cut is connected with a stitch in a circle. Cut the elastic to the desired length (for size 38-69 cm, for size 40-73 cm and for size 42-77 cm), but first check whether this length of elastic band is suitable for you. Connect it with a stitch, put one end on the other by 1.5 cm. Fold the belt in half, insert the elastic band so that it fits tightly to the fold, align the seams. Pin with hairpins, evenly distributing the folding of the fabric. Sew the sections with an auxiliary stitch at a distance of 1 cm from the edge. Fold the belt with the pants with the front sides in the middle, aligning the cuts and control marks, aligning the seam of the elastic band and the seam of the belt with the back middle seam. Sew the belt with a seam 1 cm wide, sweep from the side of the belt. Stretching, lay two decorative stitches along the waist at a distance of 1.6 cm from each other and from the edge. Make sure that the distance between them, to the edge and to the belt seam is the same. These decorative stitches are optional, you can not do them.
5. Fold the bottom of the shorts and rounded cuts and fasten with a stitch at a distance of 0.7 from the edge. Edging is possible.
